So, you've already got a full driving licence but there are things that you're just not confident doing?  This is a very common request, and ZED School can help.

We don't just teach people to drive from scratch; we can also help you to improve your driving skills - from whatever level, and to whatever level.

Parking

One of the most common skills that drivers seek to improve is parking.  If the sight of the white line bay markings at the supermarket car park fills you with dread, then you're certainly not alone.

Some learner drivers only learn how to park one car in one way, but that's no good when you change to a different vehicle.  At ZED School we teach people how to park using a system that works in any vehicle.  Whether it's forward bay parking, reverse bay parking, or parallel parking, soon you'll be completing the maneuvers with confidence and ease.

Roundabouts

Lack of confidence at roundabouts is another very common concern for drivers. 

Fortunately, roundabouts in the UK don't ever look like the one in this picture.  But if you find them intimidating, then they can certainly feel like the one shown!

Common requests from some drivers are that they sit at the line listening to the voice in your head saying "I should have gone", or "Do I have room to get out?".  If that's you, then look no further because ZED School can help you.  Starting with the basics, we can build your confidence on all types of roundabout.  We'll take you on a journey that will allow you to glide through roundabouts with skill and confidence.  We'll explain the different rules between mini-roundabouts, bigger ones, faster ones on dual carriageways, and complex styles with unusual layouts.  We'll build up your knowledge and your experience, and in time you'll be tackling the more complex multi-lane spiral roundabouts with ease.

Motorways

Many drivers tell us that they are generally happy with their driving, but have never been very confident on faster roads.

This is quite normal because sadly many learner drivers get little or no experience on motorways during the learner driver training.  But don't worry because we can help!  At ZED School we break the problem down into manageable pieces.   First we get you used to travelling at higher speeds, and learning to judge distances to slower hazards.  Then we introduce the signage that you'll see on a motorway, and explain the basic rules of how to drive on one.  Your training will then cover the various different types of slip road, and give you the confidence to join and leave a motorway safely.  

Country Roads

Let's face it... our local / surrounding area has a lot of country roads!  Avoiding them if you live in Sussex is almost impossible, do it's wise to have the skills to drive on them safely. 

Driving on country roads requires a specific set of skills.  Hazards are numerous and often hard to observe, speeds can often be quite high, and the roads themselves are often narrow.  The combination of these factors can make country road driving daunting, which is where training and experience comes in.  ZED School can offer you a bespoke training package to help you to navigate these roads with safety, confidence, and skill.  Please get in touch if you would like to learn more.
